A 5.1 mix is meant to give the feeling that you’re surrounded by the sound that’s being played, in this case, this particular track’s main purpose seems to be to make the song sounds grander, particularly with how much reverb has been applied to Liam’s vocals, and the loudness of the drums to accompany the rest of the mix, which followed a similar trend
