When Jesus said, “so this in remembrance of Me,” as He shared the very first communion with His disciples at Passover, He was saying so much more than just, “remember what I did.” RATHER, He was saying, “take to yourselves all that I am, and all that I have done for you, and all that I am presently doing and will do for all time.” So we aren’t just thanking Jesus and thanking God for all that He has done, but all that He IS DOING and will do in the days to come.
