Today marks the beginning of the Chinese Lunar New Year or Spring Festival. To celebrate, the husband and wife team of our Viola Section Leader Wenhan Jiang and mezzo-soprano Cicely-Yishuo Hé performed this beautiful piece. With words by the renowned poet Shi Su(苏轼), the piece describes the feelings of separation and reunion, and of loved ones sharing good wishes even though they are thousands of miles apart, just as the Chinese community celebrates the Spring Festival all around the world.
