I first got to know this song because it was the theme song of the Chinese period drama that I was watching with Mum and Dad. I went out to buy the album [駱駝、飛鳥、魚 Camel, Fish, Bird] the next day 💿😍
Chyi Yu is one of the veteran divas in the world of Mando-pop, and she
won Taiwan’s 9th Golden Melody Award (1998) for Best Female Vocalist (Mandarin) with this album 🏆 Afterwards, she shifted her focus on Buddhist music.

When I was proofreading the English translation, Tro Tro reached home from her voluntary work. So, I started reading out loud for her. After the first two sentences, she frowned, ‘Soooooo sad…’ 😮‍💨

Well, I’ve always believed that true love doesn’t bring sadness, and should never hurt. Even if we somehow have to part, I’d like to start anew while honouring the past with gratitude 🥹
