This 1986 sitcom concerns a hitherto-unknown relative who moves in with Mark Linn-Baker, just starting out on his own in Chicago. Familiar tropes like the mismatched pair, the fish out of water, etc became fresh and funny all over again and kept the show going for eight seasons. After moving a few times, the show would settle on Friday nights and be the core of ABC's TGIF block. The theme ('Nothing's Gonna Stop Me Now') is by Jesse Frederick and Bennett Salvay, the composing team responsible for 'Step by Step', and was performed by David Pomeranz. Two opens are presented reflecting changes in the visuals and a fresh recording of the song, along with closing credits.
