Description
In the 1950s and 60s, a brother in California put together a series of 'New World Records' of songs from the 1950 songbook 'Songs to Jehovah's Praise'. This recording is from Side B of Record 406, which featured a male quartet.
The song is Song 73 - "All Things New!", which we still use today; in the 2016 songbook, it is Song 146 - "Making All Things New". It first featured in the 1928 songbook, as Song 334 - The Master Is Come! Arise, and was written by Harriet C. Swan in 1924. It wasn't included in the 1944 songbook, but the tune was used with completely new lyrics in 1950.
It has appeared in every songbook following 1950, and it has not changed much over that time. The key was shifted from C major down to Bb major in 2009, and the second half of the second verse was rewritten for the 2016 songbook.
