When your homework is done on earth, so are all the struggles and hassles of this life. I knew Chuck personally albeit briefly - he did go to our church back in the day, Church on the Way/Jack Hayford in Van Nuys. He came out to a start up church in the 1980s here in Phoenix, just for a love offering. I picked him up at the airport, brought him to the hotel, he was impressed with our young pastor at the time. Chuck meant so much to so many. His songs from the Beach Boys sound of Little Honda (Hondells) and later Love Song - the early Jesus pioneer music days of the Jesus Generation Revolution from Chuck Smith across America with Love Song, Tommy Coomes, Jay Truax and so many more that he touched and influenced even til recently with his last offering Moonlight Serenade. I know he now is in Jesus presence and enjoying all the eternity and heaven offers and awaits to greet us when we one day Lord knows when will graduate to be with Jesus our Lord. Please pray for Alisa Childers his daughter (Zoe Fame/current apologist) and his family and friends. A flower in heaven a bittersweet terrible loss for us, but we will one day see such again.
